What’s in my travel bag !

Hey guys !

Hope you’re all doing well ! Today I’m going to tell you what are the essentials for me to have when I’m travelling ! I’m going to base on a small luggage (around 10Kg) and a small backpack as nowadays you are allowed to take with you in the plane a 10Kg bag and a small backpack. I hope this will help you or give you ideas 🙂 !

For the plane

In my small backpack I would usually take the things I need for the plane or if I have anything fragile.

To relax 

Depends on how long is the flight but usually I would take a small book or I would download a Ebook on my Ipad, but nothing’s worth a real book and the smell of the new pages. I would also download some musics because it relaxes me and makes me think of something else, I am a little bit scared of planes 🙂 !

To be comfy 

I would generally put some comfortable clothes, like a leggings, a big tee-shirt and some snickers and I wouldn’t put so much jewellery as I always have to take everything off at the security. I also have a travel pillow, if you don’t have one and if you travel often you should go get some right away. You can buy it online on Amazon for example or even in Poundland (if you have the chance to have one where you live).

To eat 

Usually I would take something in the airport or make myself a sandwich as it’s crazy expensive in airports. And don’t forget you are not allowed to have a bottle of water or of anything else that is over 100ml.

P.S : before travelling I would also check the rules from my air plane company to avoid any surprises 🙂 ! 

The essentials

In my small backpack 

I usually put them in a big pocket bag and take them in the plane with me. In my pocket I take my passport, a little notebook with the addresses, the plane/hotel tickets if I printed them (usually I look for an app to see if the air plane company has one. With Ryanair for example you can download your ticket directly on your phone, no need to print them and it’s also a little gesture for our planet).

If the country is not in Europe, meaning not in Euro I would always withdraw some cash so I have some when I arrived in the country. Often I keep some with me and put some in my big luggage, just in case.

Electrical 

Of course I will take my phone and my charger, depending on the destination I would always look for some useful apps to downloads to help me discover new things, etc.

My camera will come with me all the time as I love taking pictures and I love making memories album.

I also bring an adaptor which is very handful. My adaptor is multi functional and I can use it everywhere. You can easily find them online on Amazon for example.

Tourism

I don’t prepare my travels all the time but I like to download apps that can be useful for me to use or buy a guide book. It’s always handy and thanks to that I always make the most of my travels. Sometimes we don’t stay long and it’s a quick travel so it’s important to know the must and must not see. Trip advisor is THE app I use all the time but there are a lot more depending also on the country you’re going to.

The clothes/shoes

Clothes 

Let’s talk about the clothes based on a 7 days trip. It’s always the hard part for me as you might know. I always think I’m taking not enough clothes and I end up with too much. So realistically I would take  2 or 3 trousers, 8 tops (depending on the weather, like I would always take something warm just in case), a jacket and a coat if necessary. Then 8 pairs of socks and underwear to last me 7 days. I would the take 3-4 outfits (usually dresses) to go out. 

Shoes 

For Shoes I take normally 3 pairs, 1 to walk like sneakers, 1 to go out and 1 to be comfortable with (sandals if the weathers is nice or my converses).

Accessories and Make up 

Jewllery, a small bag to go out  and some make up and beauty things.
